Another wondrous stuff is here!

Do you know about Kalavantin Durg, that also happens to be recognized as Prabalgad Fort? Actually, I know you people haven’t heard about this thing earlier. So, brace up yourself for knowing about this amazing one day trek to Kalavantin Durg and here’s a piece of information and also a brain-shattering video…

Kalavantin Durg is 2,300-ft. high hill fort that is accessed by a steep trail with views of Mumbai. It’s basically located in the old Mumbai-Pune route in Prabalmanchi, Panvel in the western ghats.

You can approach this fort via steep climbing. The steps leading up to the fort were cut into the rock of the hill and there are no safety rails on the edge and no ropes on the wall to grab on to, so you absolutely need to be careful all the time! And the hardest part is the descent, especially if you have “vertigo”.

Kalavantin Durg is one of the most beautiful abandoned places and also witness a wide variety of flora and fauna as you trek. The trek will surely give you a memory to cherish for a lifetime and the exceptional thing of this trek is the astonishing rock-cut steps that wind up their way up the mountain to take you to the top of the fort.
