Reshikhola is a riverside destination just 37 km from Kalimpong and very near Pedong. The small village of Reshikhola received its name from the Reshi River running along with this small place. In addition the river valley is surrounded by forests home to numerous birds and occasional more enormous visitors like bears.

Sillery Gaon:

A pristine village, situated at 6000 ft in the Kalimpong subdivision of Darjeeling hills, is an ideal place to escape from bustling city life. Sillery is the name derived from a plant that grows in abundance in this part of the Himalayas. Sillery Gaon offers a majestic view of Mt. Kanchenjunga and other snow peaks.

Best time to visit Silk route:

Silk Route can be visited throughout the year, excluding monsoon and peak time of the winter season when the roads get blocked by thick snow. The best time to make the most enjoyment from your Silk Route journey is during the months between May and October, when the weather is charming for exploration, and the roads are immune from the wrath of rain and snow. The months of April, May, and June are the peak season with a high influx of tourists. Another good time window is the months of October and November before the onset of the winter season.
