When to go
The hill station calendar
The best time to visit the hill stations is March to June, September to November. December to February (cold, with snow in the higher hills) are also good. Try to avoid July to August (monsoon landslides in the Himalaya). South Indian hill stations such as Ooty, Munnar and Coorg are pleasant almost all year; expect heavy rain from June to September.
