When to go
When to visit Meghalaya
The best time to visit Meghalaya is October to April. May to September (waterfalls at full power, but very wet) are also good. The walk to the double-decker root bridge at Nongriat involves thousands of steep steps each way.
- Best for high Himalayan treks
- Good for winter and lower treks
- Monsoon: most high treks closed
