The Maharajas Express operates on 4 different Journeys (each with a unique name) across North, Central & Western India, and guests choose to book from four different categories of Cabins & Suites. One journey comprises of 3 nights & the other three journeys comprise a 6 Nights duration each.
Some everyday experiences in all 4 journeys are visiting The Taj Mahal, Jungle Safari in Tiger Reserve of Ranthambhore & spending time with colorfully decorated elephants in Jaipur.
The Maharajas Express Train is owned & operated by the commercial wing of Indian Railways & both board & board services are outsourced to private enterprises, ensuring a consistent and supreme customer experience.
Facilities On Board
The Maharaja Express has five-passenger saloons consisting of four Deluxe Cabins each, six bars of three Junior Suites each, two pubs of two Suites each & one saloon for the grand ‘Presidential Suite,’ all with ensuite bathrooms.
For making your journey of the utmost convenience and comfort, all passenger cabins come with individual temperature controls, LCD televisions, DVD players, direct dial telephone & internet, to name a few. With in-house movies and live tv keeping you company when you return from the tiring journey, it is truly a royal experience on Maharajas Express. Every cabin is also equipped with its own electronic safe deposit box.
All the cabins & public areas have large panoramic windows & the train is designed to savor every bit of the pan-Indian journey.
The Maharajas’ Express has two fine dining restaurants – Mayur Mahal and Rang Mahal. With a seating capacity of 42 people at a time, it allows an opportunity for everyone on board to dine together. Here, the wines and beer are served while dining comes complimentary.
For those who love to ride with the spirits, we have onboard the luxury train an exotic Safari bar that features the choicest collection of wines, beer, and other spirits with complimentary snacks to every passenger. Furthermore, there is also a lounge cum bar named ‘Raja Club’ with comfortable seating with club arm-chairs. If these features don’t excite you, the Maharajas’ Express also has a high-end boutique that features exquisite and Sightseeing Tour Transportation.
From super deluxe coaches for Deluxe Cabin & Junior Suite passengers to cars for Suite and Presidential Suite passengers, we ensure a plush experience is provided to all. All vehicles used for traveling are equipped with complimentary sightseeing kits like bottle coolers, pith hats, and shoe uppers.
