When to go
When to visit Rajasthan
The best time to visit Rajasthan is October to March. July to September (Udaipur and Mount Abu are lovely in the monsoon) are also good. Try to avoid April to June (extreme heat). The Pushkar Camel Fair is held in October or November; the Jaisalmer Desert Festival in February.
- Best for high Himalayan treks
- Good for winter and lower treks
- Monsoon: most high treks closed
